Wearing Khaki White & Black | Men's Style Edit

Yesterday I was staying over at the girl I'm seeing's house with the heating on and a duvet watching Netflix, yet today I've been sweltering at home with all of the doors and windows open. Those weather contrasts are typical of this time of year and therefore your style has to match this diversity. T-shirts and shorts need to be in your wardrobe next to knitwear and jackets.

A look that I'm really enjoying wearing right now is a plain t-shirt layered with a shirt and khaki/black/white is a great combination of colours for this 3 piece casual outfit. My khaki shirt was purchased from ASOS as well as the black jeans and white t-shirt. The mid-top white canvas trainers are from Superga, where you can design your own artwork and the in-house artist will paint your design onto your trainers for a small fee. My accessories are plentiful with EMOM sunglasses, a watch from Esprit, rings from Serge Denim, bracelets from Gentlemens Chuckaboo and pendant chains from Alex Orso.

Manière De Voir | Style Review

If you follow my instagram, you'll realise that my style can be somewhat different. I absolutely love tailoring, dressing smart but I also love high-street, casual attire such as ripped jeans, long-line tees and bomber jackets. That is London all over and the diversity of men's style in our nation really shone during London Fashion Week Men #LFWM. Some of the guys were effortlessly stylish and cool and it made me want to broaden my own style slightly and try to find new menswear brands out there rather than shopping at my favourite high-street stores all the time.

Well recently I've been shopping online at Manière De Voir, a brand that I have known for a very long time but never actually brought anything, until now. Manière De Voir are an online UK based mid-market fashion company designing both trend focused Menswear and Womenswear. Their website is great and I love the drop-down option to view their entire collection - of course you can then filter based on all sorts of criteria. Click into the products you like and you'll find every angle of the clothing photographed and styled in a classic Manière De Voir way and zoom functionality to view the finer details.

The products themselves are incredible for the price, the suede jacket in particular has a super soft feel and the black check shirt has become an item in my wardrobe that I wear every day! The rest of my head-to-toe Manière De Voir outfit is centred around a black and khaki palette. The 'destroyed' jeans are more ripped than standard knee rips so if that is your preference you'll love them, although they were a little drafty during the -5 temperature we were shooting in! I've layered a CEO monographed black tee with the flannel black plaid shirt and khaki jacket. Finally with all great outfits, you need incredible footwear and these khaki suede sneakers bring the whole outfit together with a little edge.

Welcome to my outfit of the day. Like so many of us, I'm a little peeved off that I haven't been able to switch off my heating yet and I'm having to dig out all my warm clothing again. Well today, I have decided to creep into Spring and a warmer climate without actually jumping on a plane and fucking off to warmer places. I have attempted this by combining my Khaki winter wear with a new ASOS pink cardigan but in reality I was freezing my nuts off and maybe a little too soon to be attempting such foolery!

Later on that day I added a layer with me Navy Pea coat, and the double jacket actually worked really well, so watch out for that styled outfit of the day soon.

This look is highstreet-casual, wearing all clothing from either Topman or ASOS, affordable and versatile...shop below.

As we transition from Spring into Autumn, it is important to give our wardrobe a little spruce up to suit the new menswear trends and of course the weather. I'm not saying you should head out to your nearest shopping destination and max out your credit cards - as you know I'm much more about using what you already have, styled differently to give an appearance of a completely new outfit.

As I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for that Indian Summer so in the look above, I have used my summer short sleeved shirt and pair it with a khaki t-shirt to layer for that extra warmth during Autumn.

Biker jeans are going to be a trend this AW15 however, remember that unless you actually own a bike and by 'bike' I mean one with a motor...a petrol motor - you can not also wear a leather biker jacket.

Great autumn winter colours are dark earthy tones, whites, blacks, greys and tans. Khaki is a colour adopted throughout the highstreet and it goes perfect with black. Another colour to look out for is mustard tan, which I'll feature in a post very soon.

Much like dressing for Spring - dressing for Autumn is also challenging. Not only do you have changeable weather but you also have menswear stores starting to stock their Autumn Winter AW15 collections and putting most SS15 into SALES. This gives us a season in-between seasons where we can pick up some cheap Spring Summer pieces and style them with the up coming styles of Autumn Winter. Going a little American on you...we shall call this Pre-Fall.

Whats going to be big and trending this Autumn/Winter AW15 is khaki green and I have been dipping in to this trend for a couple of months now.

In the above look I'm wearing khaki biker style skinny trousers available for only £30 at ASOS. Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star hi top trainers in a camouflage print available via Foot Locker at £59.99. On the top halve I have tucked in a plain white tee and black short sleeved check shirt again from ASOS for only £25.

Below is another look I have style with Khaki green and you can view the whole post here.

Black belt black shoes, brown belt brown shoes. Thats all you need to know about belts right? WRONG! Generally speaking belts seem to be the last thought when deciding what to wear for a night out but for me that has changed, a belt can make or break and outfit so its time to up your belt game people.

I was recently invited to one of the three Elliot Rhodes stores in London (Covent Garden, Chelsea or St Christopher's Place) and who are also stocked in Selfridges, so in the belt world Elliot Rhodes is about as good as it gets.

When I first looked at Elliot Rhodes online, I thought their collection was a bit too out there for me as all the belts I own are very classic, dare I say it, a little boring and M&S'y. The big buckles, different textured belts is all new to me. However being a yes man that I am, I decided to pop along and see what all the fuss was about.

Upon arriving at the St Christopher's Place store, I was welcomed like part of the family rather than any old customer...the sheer number of different belt and buckle combinations were a bit over whelming to be honest. Although I soon settled into my shopping groove and proceeded to pick out all the generic blacks and browns as I would normally choose. NO. I'm not in Next. Lets mix it up a little. If I'm going to get a belt custom made for myself, lets make it something totally different to what I have seen anyone else wear.

Jumping between, burnt orange, burgundy and shades of green...I went for the later, a green belt (but with a hit of brown!) sets a challenge on how to style/wear it and thats what I love.

I was measured and the belt was made exactly to my specifications within a few minutes. So if you fluctuate in weight, just get them to add on another hole, best be safe!

Bespoke and innovative, at Elliot Rhodes they create beautiful luxury leather belts and buckles in a wide variety of colours, textures and styles to suit all tastes. Over the last nine years, Elliot Rhodes has become the go-to belt and buckle making brand, renowned for a wide variety of handmade designs. All of their belts are designed in the UK and made exclusively for them to their own exacting specifications. Unique to Elliot Rhodes is their interchangeable system which gives their customers the freedom to choose a belt strap of their desired width, colour and finish and match with one or more buckles to reflect their personal style.

As I mentioned above, belts can make or break and outfit but the Elliot Rhodes belt works perfect for this outfit. I chose to stick to green, Khaki, Military tones as they are great colours to wear during the cooler days of Summer and now (sorry guys) with Autumn around the corner, it is time to start thinking about earthy tones once again.

I have styled the Elliot Rhodes custom made belt with some black skinny jeans I found in my wardrobe and a couple of new purchases from ASOS. The Khaki t-shirt is muscle fit, so go up a size or look like me in the pictures below (I'm totally breathing in!). Then an ASOS military green casual shirt to throw over the top. I finished the look off with a classic pair of white converse boots.
