Rustic Pumpkin | Perfect Candle for Thanksgiving

God will the candle reviews ever end? Not so long I keep buying these beautiful candles, whilst simultaneously having quite a bit of spare time on my hands also. We're now getting into the cooler months and candles I'm sure will be on the lips of every TJ Maxx shopper up and down the land.

When the missus asked if I like Rustic Pumpkin, I told her I don't know gay slang. When I realized she was talking about the Rustic Pumpkin Candle by DW HOMES you can imagine my immediate embarrassment. Still we are where we are.

The Hype

The inviting warmth of spicy cinnamon sticks and rich pumpkin fruit enhanced with balancing touches of sweet, mulled apple infused with allspice-steeped tea, crushed fennel seeds, and peppered clove.

I won't beat about the bush (that gay slang I do understand) I bloody love this candle. My palette is not that attuned to differentiate between a Rustic Pumpkin and a non-rustic pumpkin, but let's put that to one side for now.

It truly feels like Autumn has landed. Not only is the house cold and the leaves feel crispy underfoot, and worldwide bloggers now roll out their yearly layering articles which for me, hasn't changed in the last ten years.

And the smell of spicy cinnamon wafting through the house truly does bring those fleece-lined moments and memories flooding back. The crushed fennel seeds make me crave for some oven baked broccoli and cooked brussels drenched in harrisa. (Don't ask). The peppered clove anchors the scent like a Turkish rug and boy, in the words of Joe Cocker do I feel Alright.
