Apple Honey Butter by DW HOMES | For All Four Seasons

The only thing I'm not keen on when it comes to DW Candles is the ambiguity of where they're made. It says on the label they're made in the U.S.A, but hand poured in Vietnam. So which is it? Slightly disingenuous. But outside of that, the candles themselves are terrific. I don't think we've hit upon a bad one yet, with Vanilla Bean being the best so far. You can check out all the DW Home reviews here.
Today I lit the Apple Honey Butter candle and let it fill up the lounge space for a couple of hours.
The hype:
Brown sugar glazed apples blended with warm cinnamon, golden clove and grated nutmeg wrapped in sweet caramel honey drizzles and hints of pure maple syrup.
The word on the street:
This candle is my absolute favorite! Just the smell of it makes me smile. It’s not Fall or Christmas in our home without Apple Honey Butter!! Which is why I am terribly sad and a little concerned that it’s still not available! We have hit the first day of Fall and my house smells like Peonies. PEONIES!! That’s not ok. I need my home to smell like Apple Honey Butter ASAP! Review - ANON
My thoughts:
So this candle is kinda anachronistic for this time of year. The reviewer is right, this is more for Christmas markets, figs, cold kitchen days. But as Summer is getting damp here in the UK it feels perfect to be filling up the lounge space right now.
The syrup and the butter smells like a warm hug next to a log fire. You get all the goodness of nutmeg, and cinnamon, and it's perfectly balanced.
My room is so tranquil and the ambiance it creates has mellowed me today. I was full of spite and grogginess this morning. Perhaps I've been watching too much world news. This candle has brought me back to my centre, and I'm already going to miss it when it's gone. If I were to make my own candle I would look into blending these kinds of notes.
Incidentally, I would love to start my own candle brand and if you're thinking of doing the same why not look into Private Label. I'm unsure of prices but you have a minimum order of 100 candles. I'm personally very intrigued about the Diffusers as I've heard there is more profit margin involved.
