Vanilla Bean Candle | Blandness Never Smelt so Good

Vanilla Bean Candle | Blandness Never Smelt so Good

Today I want to highlight another sensational candle scent by DW Homes, the Vanilla Bean. Wait Carl I hear you say, isn't Vanilla just simply ..well .. plain vanilla?

Ordinarily I would agree with you. However, this Vanilla has something very special going on. Firstly it's about as creamy and rich as you're likely to get from a candle. There is a dusting of caramel or charred cinnamon going on behind it.

The spice note lingers on the cardamon side, and reminds me of Christmas markets for some reason. The vodka note gives me unerring cravings to drink in the early afternoons. Just shots, no rocks. No company.

If anyone out there wants to collaborate on a candle making project please get in touch. I don't even care if we sell any, I just want more candles in my life.

A candle in your home can introduce a very soothing quality, as I've mentioned many times. Vanilla in particular has both that sense of tranquility and familiarity so your guests will feel right at home if you have this lit ready.

The Hype

Fragrant vanilla beans blended with a hint of creamy vodka spiked buttercream frosting, sweet spun sugar and a dash of aromatic spice.

From the brands website. Single wick. Handpoured in Vietnam.

The word on the street

I want to eat this. It's really strong but not overpowering. Even when it's not lit it makes the room smell amazing! It's a very creamy, smooth smell... Kind of like a thick milkshake... I love it. Best candle I've ever had...

REVIEWER, ANON

Candles are now lit in every room in my house, as I like to have an ambiance ready for me to walk into. There is also something romantic and mature about looking at a lit candle, can someone please tell me what that is?

I've lost track of all the DW Candles I've reviewed on this blog. But no matter, it's at the top of the list, ahead of Woodsmoke Bourbon, Classic Man and Suit & Tie.

TIP: just splurge on disposable lighters and have one in every room of the house. You'll lose your marbles looking for them and its grounds for divorce when the missus takes them on her travels for some inexplicable reason.
