Sand & Fog Roses and Sandalwood Candle

Today I'd like to share some thoughts on my latest Candle purchase. And yes, you might be starting to wonder what on earth is going on with me and candles at the moment. I'm of the belief right now that we have radically underestimated our sense of smell and especially since COVID and lockdown, we're becoming more accustomed to staying indoors for longer.
I've also reached an age where I have a family. I'm a country lad now. The lures and opportunities of living it up in Clapham Common are progressively dwindling. As a result, sitting and relaxing at home with my son, my dogs, my partner, and creating an environment that projects peace, harmony and goes some way to disguise the smell of my farts.
I jest. SEE! ChatGBT couldn't come up with a gag as good as that.
The story so far:
Sand + Fog was born of a vision of three women who believed candles should not only smell good, but look good too. We are living proof that the California Dream is alive and well. Hoping we can bring light and happiness into your life.
The Jar:
Yes it's on the feminine side. Well it's made by chicks for chicks. But I'm not a man alone, as I said, I have Tuula and it can't all be Classic Man or Man Cave candles. The labelling is nice; a textured sticker. The inside of the lid, which feels light like cork, has a nice founder's message. (See hype above).
The hype:
Indulge in the captivating allure of Roses & Sandalwood, a luxurious blend that marries the timeless elegance of roses with the warm, woody notes of sandalwood, creating a sophisticated and enchanting aroma that fills your space with romance and refinement.
Any good?
The room is soon filled with a positive glow. I love roses in all things. And thankfully the rose is not synthetic or forced. I'm transported to a walk down Chiswick high street. My love stops and pulls a yellow rose that is encroaching from the neighbor's drive onto the pavement towards her, and tells me to smell it too. I heave in a lungful, it's enlivening. And we walk on. Sun in our hearts.
Word on the street:
I think they are good if you find a scent you like but I would not pay full price for them. I would get them from TJ Max. The falling leaves one is my favorite. Bath and body work candles are my favourite though when they have their sales. -
