S’ABLE Labs by Idris & Sabrina Elba: a capsule collection of vegan, genderless skincare products

Today I'm going to share some thoughts on the newly launched S’ABLE Labs by Idris and Sabrina Elba - a capsule collection of vegan, genderless skincare products. S’ABLE Labs (Elba's spelt backwards) are placing a large emphasis on the feel good factor. "We all have skin we want to nourish and protect and hydrate," says Sabrina Elba, and, she adds, "when you feel good, you do good." The heartbeat of the brand are the consciously created products with traceable ingredients and innovative sustainable packaging for guilt-free wellbeing. The packaging is comprised of steel grey with all caps white font lettering, made from post-consumer recycled materials and is created to be reused as well as recycled.

One thing is for sure, the website is truly comprehensive with a full listing of their ingredients as well as their benefits. Idris and Sabrina are building a community within this wellness space, they even have their own podcast on the site called Coupledom. (Available on Audible). There are useful reference articles such as demystifying skincare jargon. It caters for both men and women or "us" as the Elba's lovingly refer to.

I was sent on a Qasil Cleanser, a Black Seed Toner and a Baobab Moisturiser and have road tested the products as part of my skincare regime. The products themselves smell terrific. There has clearly been a lot of care and thought that has gone into these products to make them as luxurious and ethically sourced as possible. My skin has felt nourished, hydrated and replenished these past few weeks.

You get quite a bang for your buck, especially with the moisturiser. Even though it's a lightweight application it's a rich formula that immediately engages with your skin as it absorbs. As a result I have found some redness dissipate. I came back quite cooked after my recent jaunts in Menorca and Seville. My skin has been a touch uneven and these products have worked wonders to restore some freshness and balance.

For an interesting interview with the couple you should check out the transcript over at ALLURE. I can't believe Idris doesn't floss. A man after my own heart. He does the cold showers/swimming too. I knew we'd get along if we happened to bump into each someday. Hint hint PR team for future press invites to product launches.
