INTRODUCING VERSO: A SKINAMILISTIC APPROACH TO SKINCARE

INTRODUCING VERSO: A SKINAMILISTIC APPROACH TO SKINCARE

Today I'm going to talk about VERSO, a skincare brand that was stablished in Stockholm in 2013. Verso's mission is to simplify your daily skincare routine. By introducing a minimalist or as Verso likes to call skinamilistic, approach to skincare, they have produced high quality products with a low ingredient count, ready to meet your everyday needs. The stripped back routine promised to deep cleanse and prevent inflamed hair follicles, boost the collagen production, and repair the skin barrier, leaving the skin rejuvenated, hydrated and smooth.

The website is clearly delineated with categories for cleansing, night time applications, day time applications, masks etc. It's a website that has strong imagery and is clearly structured. The packaging is fairly generic, black and white, not here not there, I'll be honest it's not the kind branding I gravitate towards. But I'm not offended by it, however I would like to see something on the website about the packaging. I presume as there no sustainability category the packaging is not made from any recycled materials. (Happy to amend this VERSO if there is something I have overlooked).

I suppose on one hand you could cite that Verso’s headquarters is located in the centre of a significant scientific-research environment, close to the University of Stockholm’s campus at Frescati. This I imagine, reduces the brands carbon footprint, having the research facilities close to hand. The proximity to the scientific community has been essential to Verso’s product development approach. Verso also has great transparency with the ingredients it uses for its products, and a very informational breakdown of the benefits of those products can be clearly found on the Verso skincare website.

Products sent on for review

A brief overview of the products. I got sent the Verso Deep Cleanse which is a mild and exfoliating cleanser that soothes unbalanced skin and calms temporary redness and discomfort. The long-term result is the appearance of cleansed, clarified, and softened skin. It dissolves excess oil and old skin cells, reducing the appearance of oily skin and blemishes. It lathered up well and I felt it didn't completely dry out my skin which some cleansers can.

Next I applied a Verso Super Facial Serum. A rich, creamy serum that is designed to visibly strength and restore the skin. Containing a higher dose of Retinol 8, this face serum effectively promotes the appearance of fresh, youthful skin while visibly improving the skin's texture.

Lastly I applied the Verso Nourishing Cream designed to provide a long-lasting hydration, leaving your skin looking smooth, soft, and supple. It certainly soothed and was non greasy to the touch. My skin felt replenished and I enjoyed the experience.
