Michael Kors Pour Homme Blue Dusk Review: My Favourite Fragrance from the Collection
A couple of weeks ago, I visited the Michael Kors store on Regent Street, London, for an introduction to the brand's fragrance collection. It's always interesting exploring fragrances in person, particularly when you can compare them side by side rather than judging each one individually.
And while there were several fragrances that caught my attention, Michael Kors Pour Homme Blue Dusk Eau de Parfum was easily my favourite.
Launched in 2026, Blue Dusk is an oriental spicy fragrance inspired by the atmosphere of a city after sunset. It's dark, smooth and surprisingly indulgent, with an interesting combination of fruity, spicy and gourmand notes.
The Scent
Blue Dusk opens with juicy plum and labdanum, creating a rich, slightly sweet introduction that immediately feels warmer than your typical men's fragrance.
At its heart, cinnamon and lavender provide an interesting contrast. The cinnamon adds warmth and spice, while the lavender introduces an aromatic freshness that stops the composition from becoming overly sweet. But it's the base that really caught my attention.
Tonka bean, pistachio cream, chocolate and cypriol create a deliciously smooth, almost dessert-like richness, balanced by a darker woody character. It's an unusual combination, particularly for a mainstream designer fragrance, and one that gives Blue Dusk its distinctive personality.
When to Wear It
For me, Blue Dusk feels like an ideal autumn and winter fragrance, particularly for evenings. There's something quite comforting about the combination of plum, cinnamon, pistachio and chocolate. It's warm and inviting, but the darker notes give it enough sophistication to work beautifully for dinner, drinks or an evening out.
Final Thoughts
What impressed me most about Michael Kors Pour Homme Blue Dusk was how different it felt from what I was expecting. I enjoy fragrances that aren't afraid to experiment with unusual ingredients, and the combination of pistachio, chocolate, plum and spice certainly makes this one worth discovering.
Of all the fragrances I explored during my visit to the Regent Street store, Blue Dusk was my clear favourite. A really enjoyable discovery, and one I'd recommend smelling for yourself if you're looking for something warm, slightly gourmand and distinctive this autumn.
