Jasmine Saffron by Leoben Company: Candle Review

It’s time for another candle review readers. The other day I lit the Jasmine Saffron fragrance by the Leoben Company. A rarity indeed.
The word on the street
This Jasmine Saffron candle from Leoben Company smells amazing. I’ve been into saffron scents lately, but this candle surprised me in a good way! I feel like candles from TJ Maxx are a hit or miss. This one is a hit! I didn’t even realize how strong the throw was until I walked out of the room and could still smell the saffron at the end of the hallway. And I love how it is strong but subtle. I can’t stand smells that are too strong - they give me headaches. The next time I see this candle, I’m picking up more! - Review on Candle Obsessed.
Well it certainly doesn't get in your face. However, I was not as impressed with this effort. My enthusiasm soon dimmed when I walked into the room and the other half had already lit the candle without my knowing.
It's not the break in protocol you understand, but the fact I couldn't smell it before entering. This candle can't fill a fireplace let alone a room.
Although there is something to be said for lighting your own candles. One must light one's own candles. A bit like that endorphin hit one gets from lighting his own cigar. He/she is in charge of their own destiny and their enjoyment is not beholden to others.
I was excited at first because I knew the hype surrounding this candle. You can't get hold of it readily.
The Hype
The LEOBEN CO Jasmine Saffron Vegan Soy Wax Blend Candle is a rare and highly sought-after product in a 9 oz size. This round, medium-sized candle features a classic art deco style with a white color and a single wick for a clean and elegant burn. The scent profile is Saffron, Jasmine, Amber wood, Ambergris, Fir Resin and Cedar!
I have no idea where the cedar notes are, or the fir resin. I asked the missus and she was equally perplexed. It's almost like popping the cork on a bottle of flat Champagne. A rare misfire
by Leoben. And these are the guys that brought you my favourite candle of all time, the Espresso Martini.
Saffron at its best should smell like velvety-suede. At its worst, metallic or medicinal. But I would go one further, at its very worst, it smells of nothing at all.
