Golden Pumpkin by Leoben

Today I'm taking a look at the Golden Pumpkin Candle offered by the Leoben Company. My favourite of the Leoben Company candles that I've purchased and reviewed so far has to be the Leather Musk candle, and you can read that review on my blog here.

This one comes in a cylindrical orange tinted vessel with a white lid, square label with scalloped edges and a floral motif.

The Hype

The Leoben California Candle Co Golden Pumpkin 9 oz vegan soy wax blend container candle made in the United States. The candle is scented with a delicious pumpkin fragrance and is crafted with a vegan soy wax blend. It is a perfect addition to any home for a cozy and autumn-themed ambiance.

My thoughts

I've never really connected with pumpkin. I don't eat pumpkin pie (although I like saying those words thanks to Pulp Fiction) I never hollow out pumpkins into scary gargoyles for Halloween, and I don't apply pumpkin oil to my face before bed.

The scent however is very buttery sweet with a very mild spice to it. I've placed this candle in my kitchen because it reminds me of walking into my mum's kitchen as a small boy in the hope of getting some food (preferably something sweet and fresh off the spoon) before dinner was served.

Personally I love hanging around in the kitchen, it's where all the best memories are made right? Think about it. The lounge is for watching tele. The bedroom is for sleeping, the bathroom is for watching yourself get older and saggier. The kitchen is where you connect with the wife, you make jam or pies together. You play with the children and watch them throw the food around.

This candle is almost good enough to take to bed and wrap under the duvet with. It really projects and sets the mood. Crikey I might have to get into Pumpkin pie and halloween after all.
