Proud to Be Featured on the Cover of Brood Magazine

It’s not often you get to sit down, reflect on your journey, and share it with the world, so to be featured on the cover of this month’s Brood Magazine is something I’m incredibly proud of. When the team reached out and asked if I’d be part of their new issue, I didn’t hesitate. But I don’t think I quite realised just how meaningful the experience would be until I saw the final result.

For those who aren’t familiar with Brood, it’s a magazine that celebrates modern parenthood, with all its chaos, emotion, beauty, and vulnerability. It gives a voice to real parents juggling careers, personal dreams, relationships, and, most importantly, raising the next generation. To be included among that community and to grace the cover no less, is honestly surreal.

The interview was deeply personal. It wasn’t about promotion or image, it was about honesty. We talked about the transition into fatherhood, the emotional rollercoaster that comes with raising Jasper, and the reality of navigating a relationship where both parents are self-employed and equally ambitious. I spoke about the juggling act of work, parenting, and identity, and I didn’t sugar-coat the moments where I felt overwhelmed or unsure.

There’s something very healing about putting those thoughts into words. Writing and talking about my journey as a dad has helped me realise how much I’ve changed, grown, and learned since Jasper came into our lives. And seeing that conversation published in print, with my face on the front cover feels like a moment worth pausing for.

It’s easy in this job to keep moving forward, constantly thinking about the next project or post or deadline. But this feature has reminded me to take stock. To feel proud. To acknowledge that I’ve built something, both professionally and personally that deserves recognition.

If you get a chance to read the interview, I hope it resonates. I hope it encourages more honest conversations about modern fatherhood, the kind that don’t gloss over the hard parts, but also celebrate the love, humour, and real magic in everyday moments.

Thank you, Brood Magazine, for seeing something in my story worth sharing. And thank you to everyone who’s supported me, especially my family, and of course, little Jasper, who inspires me every single day.

This cover is for every dad trying their best, every partner learning as they go, and every parent doing it their own way.

Let’s keep telling the real stories.
