MY FIRST POST LOCKDOWN HAUL WITH ALLSAINTS

Today I'm going to share with you my latest and first post-lockdown Allsaints haul edit. I was on the starting blocks to get back in the shops. It feels like we took everything for granted didn't we? It just feels good to have some fresh choices to turn to. Not only that, but to try on the clothes. I'm a huge advocate for e-commerce, (I do have at online menswear store myself) but sometimes there is no substitute for trying on those jeans.

JACK DAMAGED STRAIGHT JEANS, WASHED BLACK

Starting with these washed black straight jeans. You know I'm a fan of colour blocking. My style tone is always naturally dark and these workwear inspired jeans are right up my alley. They boast unique coffin pockets, which are basically frog mouth pockets unless someone can tell me different. There is a tiny amount of fading around the stitching on the waistline and the ankles are cropped which will keep me cool as we nearer warmer climates. I got these in a size 32.

GOWER LEATHER DERBY SHOES

These Gower Derby Shoes offer a very confident step. They're crafted from leather, and made in Britain but the site doesn't indicate where exactly. Probably farmed out through a Northampton chain. The contrast stitching draw the eye and the heel is amped so it gives me an extra half inch. Who would say no to an extra half inch eh? I wear a size 8 and these fit true to form.

SERI SHORT SLEEVE CREW T-SHIRT

This white tee is a relaxed fit. I'm not into a skinny fitting tee. The typography logo is on the sleeve which I'm ok with. Typically I would go for no logos on my casual wear, but this I'll allow.

For a simple white tee 45 sheets is a bit strong but I know with Allsaints I'll be getting quality and importantly, the crew won't lose its shape after a few wears and washes. I'm wearing a medium.

HUGH COAT

Sure, the sun is out but that doesn't mean it's time to ditch those outer-wears. This Hugh Coat is cut from a wool blend fabric and shaped to a regular fit. It's an unusual piece in that it's more of a blazer as it's a stand-alone piece. Except it doesn't boast the hallmarks of a typical blazer that may have shanked buttons and be traditionally in a navy serge or hopsack.

I was drawn to this because I like the idea of transforming typically buttoned-up pieces like a double breasted jacket and inserting them into casual ensembles. It will also carry me through from Autumn to Winter so will be an ideal transitional outer garment. I'm wearing a 38.
