February's MUST HAVE Watches | Editor's Picks

I've been scouring and scrolling through my watch feeds this past month. Each time I spot something that makes me pump the brakes, I file it away under a wishlist. Like I've always said, if I had real money, I'd be dangerous. How can one not have an inexhaustible collection of watches if the sky was the limit? Here we go, in no discernible order.
Modello Cinque U5S-NS Collab
The Modello Cinque U5S-NS is a Made in Italy automatic all-round watch created in collaboration with Nichetto. Inspired by the playful day wheels of childhood, each day reveals a new combination of four shifting colors, visible through four distinct windows on the dial. If you look at this watch every day for the year, you'll see something different. Available - £ 1.480,00
Nagaloka Designer
Not commercially available so no link or price on this one I'm afraid. But the design really spoke to me so I wanted to include it here. The quote from his instagram when talking about this watch; "It is not simply about "making it round." It involves generating complex parametric surfaces inspired by nature (much like a vegetal pod). The technical key lies in how all surfaces converge tangentially, creating soft, continuous corners that the brain and touch perceive as organic rather than industrial."
Seiko S23159
You know how much I like my funky 'check this out' moments on my watches. This one has a groovy pop up hinged acrylic crystal that opens so the time can be detected by touch. From the Essentials Collection. Offering classic dress/sport designs, the Essentials Collection S23159 provides the ideal solution for everyday wear. With a functional black strap with a folding clasp. The best thing is the price. Currently £150.
The Avant-Garde "Sole" of 1917: A Design Revolution
With its multiple curves and avant-garde design, it represented a radical departure from the traditional round watches prevalent in its era. The black enamel Arabic numerals, crafted to
follow the unique shape of the case, beautifully prefigured the iconic codes of Art Deco. I haven't managed to find this online, but I'm confident a reseller will be able to source one.
Here is the highlight on INSTA for more details.
1980s Transforming Jet Watch
Who remembers having one of these? A blast from the past right? I managed to source one on eBay for £129. Any man over the age of 40 will be salivating over this. Just imagine the cool conversation stimulators you'll get going? Best episode, Powerglide and the Girl. Best practical Transformer toy? Sludge the Dinobot. Etc
