Suits Pour Homme by MCH Beauty: Fragrance Review

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on a new purchase, Suits Pour Homme by MCH Beauty. When I got this fragrance out of the box I was initially so happy to feel something that was housed in glass as opposed to plastic. The colours are also interesting, a sage green mixed with a high vis orange. There is a little fabric tag on the cap, unsure what that is meant to be. Maybe a tie or something? The bottle has a pronounced bottom which gives it some presence on the shelf. The major let down is once again the cap. I'm guessing this is how they keep the cost down on these strip mall fragrances, they just can't make a cap that looks halfway decent. This one at least screws on so it's secure.

The hype:

Experience bold, masculine scents with MFB-SUITS POUR HOMME 3.4 OZ. This perfume for men features a unique blend of ingredients that exude confidence and power. With just a few sprays, elevate your presence and leave a lasting impression. It Has a fresh, spicy and woodsy scent.

Opening:

It's off to a fizzy start. There is a zesty fruit, but it's not fresh. It's actually quite sweet yet jarring, like cinnamon on vetiver. It has a familiarity to it that I like. It's not offensive, but it doesn't have instant appeal. It's like listening to Strawberry Fields for the first time and not knowing what the hell it is. Only this doesn't have the calibre of a Strawberry Fields equivalent. It's like Cat Amongst the Pigeons, or some other horrible Bros ballad.

Settle Down:

I came back a few minutes later hoping for some improvement. The greenness has an undoubtable lure, and thankfully it goes more aquatic than it does musk or tobacco, which are just the worst notes for a frugal fragrance. For some reason, any black tie attempt in strip mall fragrance just smells like cat tray. After your cat has had curry the night before. Suits Pour

Homme by MCH Beauty is incredibly masculine-generic, and there is little to write home about in the settle down.

Dry Down:

After 20 minutes the fragrance has all but left my wrist. What is left is a thin trace of sandalwood, maybe some lavender. Thankfully the fizz has softened and its actually quite pleasant, even if nearly undetectable. That said, if you're looking for a nice subtle fragrance to wear around the office, this is the one.

Where to Wear?

It's just a fragrance you'd wear if you'd like to smell clean, and presentable. Client meeting, lunch with the in-laws etc. You won't be making any lasting impressions with this. Perhaps one to give to the nephew.
