Justin Reess Chelsea Boots & Dress Shoes

Today I'd like to do a quick review on the Justin Reess Chelsea Brogue Boot and the Andre Dress Shoes. I bought both of these at the Royal Windsor Horse Show a few weeks back and have been enjoying breaking both pairs in. I met the owner and his son at the show and understood that the footwear was made in the U.K, but couldn't get them to be specific. There is also no mention on the website of where they are made or what sustainability pledge they have.

Very strange. The website doesn't even offer product details and has some massive typos. Not sure what the problem is over there. But I can say both the boots and shoes themselves are really very comfortable. I was quite surprised because the quality seems genuine, the price is very accessible and they really offer something different in terms of how they stand out.

There USP is their interesting designs on the tongue and on the uppers. They are also bringing out a hybrid show that looks like a smart casual alternative for people wanting to wear trainers to work for comfort, then dressing up in shoes when they get to the office.

I really wanted to get some boots for dog walks. The grass on the greens is always wet in the morning, either with dew or overnight rain. I've actually been wearing my hard cap work boots as I don't have any throw-away boots. These Chelsea Boots were bought for walking and I've been looking to get some with brogue detailing. I always think the brogue detailing adds something extra to a boot. Sadly, whilst these boots are comfortable and look great, they're too good for walks in the park. They're not designed to get muddy, and with the brogue detailing I imagine they'd be too porous, not ideal.

Still the boot is beautiful, very comfortable and I'd wear these with any kind of denim or smart chino.

The dress shoe is called Andre. It comes in a croc print in tan. I live the different colours of brown and tan that runs from the toe to the uppers. These too have some brogue detailing at the toe and some further brogue detailing that chase around the lip of the uppers down to the heel. Very comfortable, did not need breaking in at all and I'm going to enjoy wearing these to parties and upscale events.

I am a size 8 and bought the EUROPEAN size 41 in both. Available on the website.
