The Winter Wardrobe Men's Style Edit

Mango, I do have a soft spot for this brand. I believe them to be accessible with their prices and deliver the staples that should be the backbone of any man's wardrobe. In a series posts on Instagram I wanted to highlight these pieces and give you an idea of how much it would cost to kit yourself out for a Winter/Spring season.

The Virgin Wool Coat

This navy virgin wool trench coat is currently in the sale for £100. The virgin wool pieces contain fibres that will insulate you both the cold and the heat. Virgin wool is the wool from the first shearing. The coat has plenty of utility also with multiple pockets. Two pockets with flaps on the front and inner pockets big enough for phones and wallets.

It works well over any light coloured garments, especially this grey braided turtleneck sweater I'm wearing underneath.

Coat: £99.99
Sweater: £59.99

Multi-pocket Cotton Jacket

Talking about pockets, this is multi-pocket cotton jacket has all the hallmarks of a safari jacket minus the shoulder tabs. The model on the website wears his with the sleeves rolled, and you can do this easily with the loop detail provided. This will make it a decent spring/summer jacket also as you can wear it casually over a tee or sleeveless polo.

It's not the warmest of jackets but it is water-repellent so will serve you well in a shower when out walking the dog.

Jacket: £39.99

Recycled Wool Tailored Coat

The most expensive item in my Mango splurge is this houndstooth coat made from recycled wool. This garment is made of recycled fibres from pre and post-consumer textile remnants. What I love about this coat is how it embellishes the other earthy tones in my outfit.

The stripe pattern sweater which has a very palpable texture and the slim fit linen trousers. The trousers are now reduced to £24.99 at the time of writing this (Jan 2021) and sizes are selling out fast.

Coat: £149.99
Sweater: £39.99
