Tom Ford Beau de Jour Signature Collection | Fragrance Review

Yes Tom Ford did release a BEAU DE JOUR from the Private Blend that is now discontinued. But do not fear BEAU DE JOUR fans for we now have a brand new Tom Ford BEAU DE JOUR from the Signature Collection. And this one is more afFORDable at half the price of the Private Blend version. 

Let's start with the bottle. A very retro feel, packaged in a clear and fluted round bottle that exhibits the juice’s natural shade of fresh chartreuse. In 50ml and 100ml, a glossy silver-tone cap and plaque accentuate the fragrance’s sharp and classic impression.

This new BEAU DE JOUR opens like its predecessor with that  'barber shop' reassurance. You get that lavender hit straight away. It's very present. It's very fresh. 

You'll immediately get that floral sensation. We can go through the notes. You'll have Lavender obviously. Rosemary, geranium, oakmoss and that's what's going to give this fragrance its belly.

The original Beau de Jour was one of my favourites from the Private Blend collection. That, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, Plum Japonais and Noir de Noir were the real haymakers from that collection. 

This one really has that class appeal. You know with Tom Ford you're in a safe pair of hands and I'm happy to say, he's not let me down with this one. 

I've heard through some other influencers that you don't get as much performance from this one. The longevity isn't quite as long. But this is half the price of the Private Blend so you have to expect some short comings. As this is a first impression I'm not going to be able to tell you about its performance. But let me know in the comments below how you're getting on with this fragrance. 

I'm happy that's still a scent for my age range. I think it's mature, elegant without being outdated. That’s probably because I'm not getting much oakmoss. Maybe they've dialled that back. But another very impressive scent. Very elegant. I can't wait to road-test this and get some feedback for you guys.
