Frazier Fir by Sand + Paws | The Great Home Reset

There are pee pads in the kitchen, the cattery and the bedroom. The puppy will miss all of them, and with my eyes still unfurling the light of the morning sun, decanting across the parquet flooring in my cold kitchen, I tread in a big heap of drop crap. Rather than try to salvage the slippers, and gorge the poo from the tread of the sole, I simply bin them and mop up the rest.
The cat is unsettled. Since the cold snap, we've closed the windows meaning she is now limited to doing her business in any number of cat trays we have strategically and conveniently peppered around the house. So far those cat trays have remained unmolested, and she too is not caring about pee pads. The soft sheepskin rugs that drown every space in the house, are now getting pulverised with cat piss. The new wildebeest skin that we brought back from Cape Town too. Although that has more of a wipeable sheen to it, and if you get it early enough, the piss does not absorb fully.
The smell of domesticated pets, terrorizing the carpets and upholstery has given our home it's unique pungent aura. Hence the purchase of this Frazier Fir candle by Sand + Paws candle.

Somedays I just long for goldfish. Other days, you just have to look your dog in their eyes and ask them what they're thinking? My dog has sad eyes. As if someone told him that this really is as good as it gets. There is no graduation to the sunnier side of the mountain. I give him all the hugs, belly rubs and back rubs I can in the morning as it's the only time in the day he'll allow this level of cosseting. What I say to my dog in whispers in the morning is between us, and I like to pretend that he's mollified by it. Before he stretches out, creaks to his paws, saunters down the hallway into the kitchen, and takes a huge morning dump on my persian rug.
