Invincible EXTREME for men by MCH Beauty | What Fragrance to wear to a BBQ

Today I'm continuing with my fragrance reviews, and this one is very special. Well the bottle is at least. This is Invincible EXTREME for men by MCH Beauty. And what a beauty this is. Yes, it wants to be Paco Rabanne Invictus Intense cologne for men, but I prefer to think of this as one of those participation trophies you'd get in school for coming last in the long jump.

The Bottle:

You can see this is a real statement of a bottle. Trying to project power and achievement. Even from a novelty factor I like having this on my shelf. So you didn't get that employee of the month award even though you didn't phone in sick once, (a new record for you) you can still reward yourself with fun fragrance and walk around the house with it. Have your lady think you're a true winner and even place it on the nightstand.

The opening:

It has a woody push, which is slightly confusing. Normally I get the woods on the way down, but here I got my nostrils coated with amberwood. My favourite kind of wood outside of willow. It's a shame willow doesn't really make it into any note profiles. There is an elegant nudge of sea spray, with a dusting of Orris Root I'm sure of it. I love the intensity, it has ambition, and already I feel like I'm onto a winner.

The settle down:

I didn't get any grapefruit that top billing for this fragrance. That's fine because the aquatic-woodsy flavour profile is more than enough to carry this scent. When I came back to it ten minutes later, there was a brighter purpose to this. As if someone had just told it as a joke. I thought it would start to take itself too seriously but luckily, the playful dalliance between the aquatic and the forest woods make this a real joy to be around.

The dry down:

Eventually I come again an hour later and its unravelled into a milieu of green tea and peppermint. As if the tree had just fallen onto the beachfront. The smell is upbeat, like a disco on your skin rollerblading up and down your palette. I'm so happy this didn't smell like crap. Can you imagine? Crap in a trophy!

Where to wear it?

You should wear Invincible EXTREME for men by MCH Beauty to every BBQ this summer. To every run along the beach. You should be finding a podium and singing your national anthem wearing this on your skin, and holding the bottle aloft.
