Sinner Pour Homme | Come to the Dark Side

Sinner Pour Homme | Come to the Dark Side

Today I'm going to share some thoughts on my latest men's fragrance purchase, Sinner by Pour Homme. Of all the Pour Homme fragrances I've tried, they have two things that stand out. The bottles are terrific. Especially this one and the Robot City one. Also they don't last longer than an hour on the skin, which is quite frustrating but understandable. After all they are entry level for a reason. That said, whilst they last, they are good fun and here are my thoughts on Sinner, my latest edition.

The Hype:

Enjoy the fresh and masculine scent of SINNER, featuring a blend of lemon, woody notes, and bitter-fresh rosemary. SINNER is a clear and fresh scent of lemon and bitter-fresh rosemary combined perfectly with masculine, woody nuances.

The Bottle:

A tough, robust, cylindrical bottle with two-tone blue shader going dark to light from top to bottom. Cap is plasticky but seals just fine. Atomiser is much better than its predecessors. Looks strong on the shelf and I'm a fan.

The Opening:

Fresh, raw, and noble Notes: It features dominant notes of Calabrian bergamot and pepper, creating a fresh and zesty opening. The pepper almost leans into a black-tie scent with how spicy and exotic this makes this.

The settle down:

Where the rubber meets the road. An unexpected arrival of vetiver and an array of spices washes over the bergamot and I'm tumbling beneath this wave like a dismounted surfer. The zest has gone and unfortunately the strong pepper notes leave no room for imagination.

The drydown:

Once I've collected myself I return to the fragrance 20 minutes later. There are some smoky accents that are left simmering on my wrist. As if I've returned to the BBQ the day after the summer party and found the coals stubbornly refusing to extinguish. I was hoping for some woody notes to give it a grounding, unfortunately if there were some, they've long since dissipated.

Final thoughts:

Sinner Pour Homme lacks any nuance, and like its flankers, comes to the party but never takes its coat off. I'd keep this on the shelf just for prestige, but would be keen to give this to a nephew to help him with his grooming game.

Word on the street:

I bought all but the sinner one, they don't smell bad, but last like 30 min then they are gone, I left them outside, so the homeless would get them, didn't take long.
