Men's Own Daily Boost Serum: Ultimate Grooming Travel Hack

I simply loathe the word hack for anything. Unless it is attributed to the likes of Bruce Springsteen or Bono who have both made vast quantities of wealth by making music for dumb people.

But whilst on my travels here in America, I have started to jot down some maxims, some notes to live by and because I have no children to pass this 'knowledge' onto, you my dear reader will be the willing recipient.

Until this trip the only Maxim I bore true was to never trust the working use of a showroom toilet.

NOW, I have included the Men's Own Daily Boost Serum into my travel regime, ergo forgoing the need to moisturize or pack moisturizer into my already crammed grooming bag. Sun cream is a must and I will wear non-sparingly as and when I get subjected to unshielded areas of torrential Floridian sun. But the serum is once in the morning and once at night, and offers a freshness to my face as well as a lift to brighten and tighten. (As it says on the label).

A serum is a highly concentrated liquid that delivers a hefty dose of nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants to the skin. The Derm Review.

There is no scent, and the bottle is elegant enough that it can live on in my bathroom once I return home without needing to be consigned to a grooming bag never to be seen again until my next trip.

I have done some research into whether one should apply suncream or serum first, and found this article online that could be of use.

The general rule is simple: serum first, then sunscreen. This order ensures your serum's active ingredients can penetrate and work effectively, while your sunscreen forms that crucial protective shield as the final step. - Sky and Sol.

I wouldn't spend more than ten pounds on a face serum personally, as the investment in the sun cream with a SPF of above 30 should be the priority. I picked this one up at a strip mall, much like most of my travel fragrances.

The only downside to this serum is the greasy application. My hands require a thorough wash after use and even then I can still feel the aftermath of stickiness on my fingers. Unsure if this is the norm for serums, perhaps someone could write in and best advise.

Men's Own is a good accessibly priced face serum that I can recommend for simple use. However, should you wish to pursue a face serum that has been reviewed with more credibility

may I recommend this article by the Derm Review that have covered this space with more authority and no doubt, expertise.

TRAVEL "HACKs?"

●  Always pack a raincoat, no matter the weather prediction.

●  Two back up battery packs.

●  Ensure if you're traveling with a plus one they have the correct leads for their portable

devices. It's always a pain to share.

●  A good jacket with pockets. And maintain consistency with where you allocate your

important personals such as wallet, passport and phone. I travel with a G-Star denim jacket. Two inside pockets, passport and phone. Outside breast pocket; wallet. The outside skirt pockets are not zipped so nothing important goes in there except maybe a small notepad or toothpicks.
