La Mer - The Hydrating Infused Emulsion - Product Review

A few years back I wrote about the latest La Mer moisturiser products that are perfect for summer. Today I'm going to give you some first impressions on the NEW Hydrating Infused Emulsion.

La Mer's first emulsion is a featherlight hydrator with nutrient-rich kelp and soy, and renewing Miracle Broth that delivers all-day nourishing hydration to renew, strengthen and stabilise.

The Hydrating Infused Emulsion is created via an ultra-high-speed "Cyclone-like" homogenisation and flash heat process to create a delicate, bioavailable micro milk.

In the product description on the La Mer website you'll find it described it as,

[...] fluid, quick-absorbing texture glides on effortlessly, leaving behind only your most radiant, healthy looking skin.

Instructions

After applying your serum, gently smooth 2 pumps evenly over face and neck using your fingertips. Follow with your La Mer Moisturiser.

My thoughts

The Packaging nice, white and green with a rose gold colour cap. The bottle is not as luxurious as the other La Mer serums. They come in heavier bottles and are noticeably sturdier. However, so I'm happy to have the packaging quality compensated for a more accessible price point.

It's a fairly milky liquid with that classic La Mer aroma. It's light, to touch and on application. If you pump once (please get your mind out of the gutter) and leave on the back of your hand, it will drip down after a short while quite easily. I'd recommend two pumps to get the maximum experience from this serum. The atomiser is well judged. Once applied there is a slightly illusory herbal smell which I like.

I have been road-testing this for a week now and happy to report no breakouts. Tuula has also been giving it a go and it's complimented both our skin types. It works for all kinds reportedly and we can so far attest to that. Note* it also works well underneath her makeup.

My only regret is that it might be a bit too light for the winter months where I like to have something a bit more rich. But it does leave my skin hydrated, and there is no oily residue.

Currently available for £90 for 50ml or £195 for 125ml available at SpaceNK.
