Easily The Best Leather Jacket I've Owned | Men's Style Edit

I've always had a leather jacket or three in my wardrobe and over the past years I've had ones from Superdry, Allsaints and even Belstaff, all of which I've loved. The jackets all had different characteristics that made a good leather jacket, yet it was about 2 months ago when I managed to get my hands on one from the specialist leather jacket brand Bodaskins that I found the holy grail.

Bodaskins opened a pop-up store in London for a week and I went along to talk to the brand about the potential of working with them in the future. Little did I know they were going to gift me any jacket from their collection and that it would be this good. Bodaskins have a huge range of Men's and Women's leather jackets and have amassed over 205K loyal followers on Instagram - it's become a fashionable cult in some ways.

The coat that I chose was their Winter Shearling (retails at £589), as I love the look of biker style leather jackets, but this one was different, it had the added warmth and appearance of the shearling collar. The design was impeccable and the fabric is amazingly soft yet rugged and the fit was like a rug, not too baggy and perfectly fitted in all the right places.

Expect to see many more posts featuring the Bodaskins leather jacket on my feed in weeks, months and years to come. This really is not an advertisement although it sounds very much like one! To put it into context how versatile it is and how much I wear it, just today I have worn it in the morning layered on top of my all-black gym kit with shorts and a black zip hoody. This afternoon, I wore it with a pair of black ripped jeans and t-shirt whilst walking my dog and tonight I'm heading out to a few bars and will most certainly wear it again. So if I was to work out the cost per wear, it would be low but not as low as it will be at the end of its life, which could be years and years time.

In this particular style edit, I'm wearing a pair of skinny black jeans from ASOS, black Chelsea boots from Superdry, a white T-shirt from Zara, a tan shirt from A Day's March and the Bodaskins leather jacket. Accessorising with a multicoloured bag from ASOS, sunglasses from Taylor Morris Eyewear, a wrist watch from Fredrick Jackson, rings from Serge Denim and the chain is from ASOS.

So, as always, if you love my style edit, you can shop the look below.
