HORACE Grooming Range of Products Reviewed

Today I'm going to share some thoughts on a new skincare brand called HORACE. I have been road testing 3 different products to trial, the Purifying Face Mask, the Hand Moisturising Balm, and the Mattifying Face Moisturiser.

Firstly the products come in aluminium tubing and it has a solid old school apothecary vibe about them. They are made in France so of course they don't have an 'About Me' section on their site, but a 'Philosophy' section. Which reads,

At HORACE, our natural products are co-created by you. We hear what you need, and we formulate the treatment. This is why our products are reliable, easy to use, and good for all skin, complexions and hair types.

Purifying Face Mask £13

The mask purifies your skin and reduces excess sebum, impurities and oversized pores. The formula is enriched with blue immortelle, an antioxidant ingredient that delays the premature aging of your skin.

This boasts 99% ingredients of natural origin and the active ingredients contained in the formula make your skin more luminous, without blemishes or blackheads. My skin felt nourished and vibrant after application. The fragrance Boisé, Vert stayed close and gave the product and underlying authenticity.

Hand Moisturising Balm £9

Made of 98% ingredients of natural origin this natural Hand Balm makes your skin soft and relaxed – for better handshakes. I can tell you I've been looking for a product like this for months. After 2 years of marinating my palms in hand sanitiser each time I enter the room, they've started to look like Tommy Lee Jones' face. Not only did I enjoy the scent, Citrus Woody, but my palms felt like they'd been for a weekend retreat down in the Cotswolds. Thank you HORACE.

Mattifying Face Moisturiser £15

Made of 99% ingredients of natural origin this natural moisturiser hydrates and protects your skin on a daily basis, with no oily, shimmering effect. This is a fantastic product. No excess residue, skin absorbed it easily and evenly and it's unfragranced so I got to use some scented beard oil from another brand so avoided overwhelming the missus.

In Conclusion

A solid brand, I liked the name, the packaging and the philosophy. It's probably some of the best products I've tried for the price point in a long time. Only gripes are the website has an annoying survey page on exit, which is a bug bear of mine. The reviews are all in French so I can't join in the forums and get the feel of a community around the brand.
