Biocrystal Bedding Products: Investing in a better night’s sleep

Today I'm going to talk about a new innovative introduction into my sleeping routine. A brand called the Fine Bedding Company has sent me on some bedding products to trial; a Biocrystal pillow and a de-stress mattress protector.

Admittedly I'd never heard of Biocrystal or crystal bedding before they reached out to me, but after doing some research on the measured benefits of Biocrystal and how it helps aid the reduction level of stress, provide faster relaxation, reduce muscle tension, increase oxygen level etc. These were all the key ingredients I look for when shopping for either a pillow, mattress or bedding.

Before I give my user experience perhaps I should give you a small insight into what exactly is Biocrystal and how it works. The De-Stress Biocrystal bedding combines 16 different types of crystals for sleep. The crystals are turned into a powder that is immersed into the fabric through printing in a subtle geometric pattern. An innovation of nature, science and technology to deliver the solution to comfort and much-needed, quality sleep.

REVIEW

I'm so pleased to report that I slept like an absolute baby on the first night using these products. To set the table, Tuula and I share our super-king sized bed with both Chips and Charlie (our dogs). So a good night sleep is not always guaranteed. Let's just say some nights it's easier to crash on the couch than it is to scrap for real estate on the bed.

I should also note that the dogs had a great night sleep too. Confirmed by the fact they had a lie in this morning and didn't surface till gone 10am! Not only did the product aid a better night’s sleep but the mattress protector made a noticeable improvement to my comfort. The crystal powder is immersed into the fabric through printing in a subtle geometric pattern. One of my primary concerns was that by adding the protector to my memory foam mattress that it would subtract from a trusted level of comfort that I already had gotten used to. But if anything it added to the comfort levels and Tuula was also in agreement.

The pillow wasn't too hard nor soft, you could shape it into what’s comfortable for you. After having road tested the bedding for a couple of days now, I'm certainly more even-keeled during the day. I notice even as I write this that both dogs are yapping at my heels and I'm unexpectedly serene about it all. Normally the pencil in my mind would have snapped on the first yap and I'd turn into Bad Cop Carl at this point. So something must be working.

Here are some neat stats I pulled from their site that might interest you.

  • 45% of users experienced decreased pain

  • 53% reported better body circulation

  • 76% of users had an overall improved night’s sleep

IN SUMMARY

It's hard to figure out, why as a society we don't put enough premium on a good night’s sleep. We'd rather invest in a new pair of trainers that might last a few weeks, or a new TV subscription service (like we need any more of them), rather than a product that will enable a better night’s sleep and a healthier lifestyle. Even if the improvement in your sleep is a modest 5% (readers be sure to make your own hypothetical percentage threshold) then isn't that worth it in the long run? The answer is yes, in case you were losing any sleep on that one.
