TOP 5 SPA TREATMENT CENTRES & RETREATS IN LONDON RIGHT NOW

Today I've been toying with the idea of booking in a romantic Valentine's Day Spa. Luckily Tuula doesn't read my blog so I get to share all my research notes with you guys. I'll be interested if any of you folk native to London have experienced some good Spa days recently. Please DM on my INSTA, thanks very much.

CORINTHIA Spa

The ESPA life at Corinthia

I'm interested in booking a Spa here because they have a Theragun. At first I thought they had a Theremin which is only the best musical instrument in the world! But equally intrigued by a similar sounding name, I did a bit more research into the benefits of the Theragun.

Theragun impacts muscle with a targeted, scientifically calibrated dose for greater therapeutic benefits for the body. It reaches 60% deeper into the muscle, touching the body and then coming off of it 40 times per second; a powerful treatment you won't find with high-speed, low-amplitude devices that rapidly vibrate and overstimulate the skin.

It's a bit pricey, £230 an hour. Check out full prices here. Maybe a bit rich for my blood right now, but it's in the running.

AIRE Ancient Baths London

I implore you all to look at the images on the website. They are amazing and reminiscent of a Ken Adam set. In fact, yes! You all remember Bond relaxing in a spa before his 'confrontation' with Onatopp in Goldeneye? These look remarkably similar.

AIRE spaces are temples dedicated to mind and body relaxation, where time does not exist. Their key elements are water, a magic setting and our exclusive rituals; forever inspired by ancient civilizations bathing traditions.

In the modern, eclectic, and forever emblematic city of London, minutes away from Covent Garden, you will find an oasis, seamlessly intertwined with its enticing energy.

The Londoner

Tried and tested. As I rhapsodised about in a previous article, The Retreat Spa in The Londoner has all the ingredients for a super relaxing Valentine's Spa Break.

A little slice of heaven in the heart of the West End. The subterranean wellness floor is a perfect blend of mystique and romance where everyone leaves feeling good and looking sharp. Replete with private poolside cabanas, a spa, gym, beauty salon and of course a groomers.

The Retreat has curated spa treatments in collaboration with a handpicked selection of luxury brands that share their passion for quality, expertise, natural ingredients and sustainable practices. They have two treatment rooms as well as several tranquil cabanas surrounding their pool.

Four seasons

We’ll shoot for the stars as Woody would say. The Ten Trinity London Spa at The Four Seasons doesn't get much more decadent than this. Just the imagery on the website looks like we have stumbled into a lost tomb of a Pharaoh king somewhere in the Egyptian outback. I'm after a facial, body scrub, but more importantly brownie points. This is the ultimate. Their Spa Day Passes offer the opportunity to indulge yourself and discover the excellent facilities on offer at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square. Day passes include full access to the Spa facilities, including swimming pool, vitality pool and fitness centre.

Spa Illuminata (Mayfair)

I've heard nothing but good things from friends about the Spa Illuminata in Mayfair. Not to mention they were most recently voted London’s Best Day Spa by Conde Nast Johansens.

As well as a relaxing experience, I also want to feel reenergised and get a new bounce to take into the rest of the week. I want champagne on reception, cut strawberries dangled into my mouth from a horizontal position and my toilet paper pointed. Sorry, bit carried away there. But you get the idea.

As well as tailored massages and holistic approaches, it's one of the few sites I've seen that talks about getting reenergised. From their site:

Our award-winning spa offers an escape from everyday life, where both mind and body are restored and reenergised.

Summary

Any Spa day worth it's scented bath salt will be north of 500 sheets for two people. This I have come to expect now, especially for London prices. The premium might even be more for Valentine's Day. However, like I mentioned previously, I'm not looking just to blow money on a day out. I want this experience to carry over and bring me the benefits of new energy.

If you have any suggestions for Spa Days in London I'd be keen to hear them. Also if you're a Spa Retreat in London and are looking for press reviews in exchange for exposure please get in touch with my management team. The email is in my INSTA BIO
