OLE HENRIKSEN TRUTH RANGE: MY SKIN CAN HANDLE IT

I've been inundated with a cornucopia of skincare products of late. (Oh Carl aren't you the popular one). Well allow me at least, that most humblest of brags. The reason I mention this though is I'm starting to see a through-line, there is a chorus of Vitamin C screaming at me in boisterous baritone-esque harmonies each time I open my bathroom cabinet these days.

OLEHENRIKSEN's core Truth range offers a collection of premium skincare products for brightening, anti-ageing and all-day hydration. Vitamin C is the emerging giant in skincare these days. It feels like a flavour of the month. Once upon a time it was charcoal, before that sliced cucumbers placed crudely into botched eye masks. Maybe that was just me. But my skin is thriving right now. For long drained-periods of lockdown, with the only sun I saw came through old episodes of Miami Vice, (it was a season special on Armani) my skin started to colour and wane like an Orcas dorsal fin at SeaWorld.

Now, it's done feeling sorry for itself. My skin has now embarked on an astonishing trajectory and it's Vitamin C, that is the key. There is an orgy of products to choose from in the Truth collection. For you ladies there are even Vitamin C Truth facial wipes you can use on the go should you need to fix your make up. Suitable for all skin types, the Truth range is powered by Vitamin C. With Ole being the pioneer in the Vitamin C category, he touts the key ingredient as the gold standard for anti-ageing and with Truth, you can incorporate Vitamin C into every step of your routine and at every level - from cleansing to treating to achieve your #OleGlow.

Personally, I'm hooked on the serum. It might be a pricey for monthly subscriptions. But if you minimise to one pump, once a day, you'll flesh that Truth Serum 1oz out for a couple of months. There is the half ounce bottle if you want to sample the goods at a cheaper price.

My pigmentation has a good balance, it feels good on application, there is a notable uptick in the overall suppleness of my skin especially around my eyes after a few weeks. I'm lucky. I know I get sent these, but then let me quote you some Notting Hill, when Hugh Grant (William) gets dumped by Julia Roberts (Anna) he comments, 'it's like I've had love heroin, and now I'm told I can't take it anymore.'

Imagine the withdrawals my skin will have once it is no longer privy to the 'Truth'. Unless I keep feeding it the Truth, the inescapable truth of it is, it will know when I'm lying. This could be an expensive addiction. But for my skin at least, it will one of the healthiest ones I've had.
