TOP 10 STYLISH PAIRS OF GLASSES FROM SPECSAVERS

Today I'm going to walk you through my Top Ten most stylish picks from the Specsavers website.

Starting with these Hackett Richmond frames that come in this exquisite amber and black flexi hinge frame. The style has been a staple classic for Specsavers for many years and style icons like David Gandy have immortalised the look considerably.

The below frames I've selected are the ones that work best for my head shape. I have a relatively symmetrical face-shape with no remarkable elongated parts nor thinness. My jaw is also relatively square (avoiding false modesty) so I like to offset that with circular frames to avoid a boxy projection.

The Bishop Glasses

A vintage-feel and unabashed retro aesthetic. Similar to the ones Patrick Swayze wore to award ceremonies in the late 80s early 90s. He actually didn't need to wear glasses, he just thought they made him look more intellectual.

The temples feature flexi hinges for durability, with the pale gold colouring continuing down the stepped sides.

The Hugo Glasses

Arguably less ostentatious than the amber-black version, although I'm still a fan of those also for the record. These are sleek and more Val Kilmer-Bruce Wayne than Keaton-Wayne. Modern, refined, yet often unrefereed and overlooked.

The Hugo Hg 06 Glasses

The stark red/black ooze jaw-dropping ebullience. Mixed with a dark blue worsted single breasted suit, nothing popinjay-ish as the glasses will do all of the talking here.

Yet be sure to complement with a red grenadine tie or something red in the 'display-kerchief' to bring balance to the look.

Converse Glasses

I defy anyone to find a cooler looking pair of glasses for under treble digits. This Converse translucent frame is the epitome of modern eyewear. With the trademark star and arrow on the inside tips of the arms, it's a beautifully executed imagination of the Converse brand.

The Specsavers Huey Glasses

These glasses transmutes irresistible suave. To the passer-by seeing you in these glasses omits an aura of sophistication. You have an Aston Martin Volante in the garage. The leather interiors are being reupholstered to their original state. You also have an extensive library filled with first editions, but few people are permitted to enter that room.

Huey proves you can’t go too far wrong with its classic round shape and shiny tortoiseshell pattern in comfy acetate plastic, perfectly finished with silver pin detail on the front.

The below designs are ones that might not reflect my personal taste, but nonetheless, I am enamoured with the look and appreciate the effect.

Will.I.Am Glasses

If you're looking to add some bedazzle to an evening suit or simply want ameliorate yourself on the red carpet, then these are the glasses for you. Iconic meets luxe in this square, tortoiseshell acetate plastic will.i.am frame. Beautifully-crafted gold metal with black inserts are integrated at the bridge and temples for a refined look.

The Lyle & Scott Foyers Glasses

As brands have gradually distanced themselves from producing garments in fur, it's notable that we cannot avoid the natural raw-lure of wearing something in animal print. Perhaps it's the reptilian side of our brain that kicks in, or caving in to our, well .. caveman sensibilities. You can't not un-see, nor un-want these glasses.

Osiris Glasses

These are Osiris musculature frames are to glasses what Cerruti did to power suits in the early 90s. Be emboldened with the strong shoulders, the unapologetic masculinity, and make a statement to your contemporaries.

Dillinger Glasses

Pay tribute to vintage fashion in these statement glasses. Oversized and overt, the chunky and angular frames capture the essence of stylish intellectualism. It looks premium, it exudes power, and communicates refinement and classicism.
