Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day In Lockdown

Let's start thinking about Father's Day. While restrictions are being eased, the UK being in lockdown means that for the majority it’s not possible to see your dad or father figure this coming Father’s Day. It's going to be a tricky one to negotiate in Lockdown so I've sketched out some gift ideas that I had in mind.

Sock Subscription

Now normally I do recommend the London Sock & Co subscription because you get the opportunity to record a personal video. However, this year I'm going to give a shout out to Genevieve Sweeney. The socks look beautiful and you can include a personal touch with monograms for your Dad. He'll think of you every time a pair of socks arrive on the door. That's the best thing.

Hampers

Every man loves a hamper, especially one teeming with ale and cheese. Have it delivered to his home, maybe order one for yourself also and enjoy a virtual picnic over Zoom?
Craft Beer Tray (£29). Includes 3x Freedom Hells Beers, Crisps, Crackling and Nuts
Cider & Cheese Hamper (£35). Includes Dry & Sparkling Cider, Snowdonia Cheese & much more
Real Ale Hamper (£35.99). Includes 3x Real Ales, Nuts, Cracking and much more
Craft Beer & Cheese Hamper (£38). Includes 3x Real Ales, Snowdonia Cheese and more
Ploughman’s Beer Hamper (£42). Includes 3x Real Ales, Ploughman’s Pickle and more

Oh the Jigsaws

Boy Jigsaws companies are loving this right now. Jigsaws can be very addictive so be careful. I'm sure your old man will appreciate having a personal Jigsaw, maybe his footballing hero? There are several companies doing this, but Ravensburger has a good reputation.

Play Tennis

Tennis is a fantastic sport as you’re typically always playing at a distance, even with those you’re in a game with. With Tennis clubs slowly opening up and down the country, if you’re a member at one be sure to utilise that membership and book the two of you in for a game. Don't forget to let him win.

Some James Bond Ties

With the delay of No Time to Die, your dad who is no doubt a hardened Bond fan, might appreciate some James Bond regalia. Turnbull & Asser do a collection of ties from the Pierce Brosnan films, as well as one from The Joker.

Don't forget if the Turnbull & Asser shirts are a little rich for your blood, then you might find my own shirts over at Hawkins & Shepherd more accessibly priced. Believe me, every man loves a new shirt.
