Today I'm going to give you a short list of the Best Christmas Markets in London. Are you looking to kill a couple of hours this weekend and do some last minute shopping? I know the weather is a little miserable right now but personally I like doing all the layering and mixing up my Winter wardrobe.

So wrap up warm, brave the cold and check out these Christmas Markets if you're in London.

Winter Wonderland

There's a reason why Winter Wonderland is packed every year. You know it brings in 80 million pounds in revenue to the Royal Parks, which they then spend on the upkeep of all the other parks in London. So don't be such a grump and say it's overcrowded or too touristy.

Not only do you have the great Ice Rink that I spoke about in a previous post, you'll find all you need for the festive season at the Winter Wonderland Christmas Markets. With over 100 fairy-lit Bavarian style wooden chalets, you’ll be spoilt for choice with plenty of gift ideas for friends and family, or even a treat for yourself.

South Bank Christmas Market

The Southbank is a wonderful part of London. You have all the brutalist buildings such as the BFI along the Thames. The graffiti's skater park on the underpass. All very gentrified now, but still has an essence of urban mysticism.

You also have the Southbank Christmas markets. Traders from around the world offer an array of handmade gifts and delicious street food from our wooden chalets. Each trader brings their own spin to the feast, with stalls offering Asian, Indian and Greek cuisines, traditional winter favourites like raclette and bratwurst, and sweet treats.

Leicester Square

It's not just the home for Lego and M&M's. Leicester Square morphs into a magical place this time of year. At the traditional Christmas markets you'll be able to procure hand-crafted goods, delicious food and drinks, a Santa's Grotto where children can meet the man himself, plus a whole host of fantastic shows in the beautiful surrounds of a traditional 1920s spiegeltent. (A spiegeltent is a large travelling tent, constructed from wood and canvas and decorated with mirrors and stained glass, intended as an entertainment venue).

Kingston Christmas Market

This is the ultimate one-stop-shop for stocking fillers and gifts for awkward Dads. Spreading throughout the Ancient Market Place and ‘Alpine Village’ on the front lawn of All Saints Church, Kingston’s popular Christmas Market returns with a bang.

Throughout the traditional wooden cabins, discover a treasure trove of unique and handmade giftware, perfect for stocking fillers and unusual gifts. You’ll find bars serving up steaming mugs of mulled wine and classic street-food, plus a live entertainment stage, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a vintage carousel for the little ones. I by little ones I mean children.

Christmas at Flat Iron Square

You think Flat Iron you think New York right? Wrong baby. We have one right here in the South East of London. Christmas at Flat Iron Square is back! It has a romantic Alpine Whisky Lodge, music and you'll feel like you're in St Moritz when you visit their Winter Ski Chalet, Apres.

With over 12 venues under one ‘roof’, including 6 bars and 7 food vendors serving up some of London’s best street food, plus special events and workshops, the festive season starts here.
