SNEAK PEEK INTO NEW LOOK AW15 MEN'S COLLECTION

When Lewis Hamilton joined the silver arrows of Mercedes back in 2013 from McLaren everyone thought he was mad but Formula1 as well as Fashion goes in cycles of dominance. For a long time New Look Menswear has always been a mid-pack runner. Never going to win a title yet never at the back of the grid, in a kind of state of 'whats the point'?

Is New Look Menswear the new Mercedes? Well with their new AW15 collection, I cant see why they can't be! With a total re-design of its chassis and a pit-stop here and there, their designers have been working non stop to bring us New Look's best menswear collection yet.

Look back to their AW14 collection and it was all a bit safe with nautical blue tones, cable knit jumpers and wool pea coats - yep seen it all before.

Now look forward to their AW15 collection, which is their strongest yet. Military being their key trend, with classic outerwear mixed with distressed denim and 90s inspired grunge prints. Khaki is the must-have colour of the season, but ecru, putty tones and black are also essential.

The Harrington is the hero jacket, while fur, borg, shearling and leather make a statement on collars, linings and hoods. Bomber jackets in real suede are a great investment piece.

Brown is making a comeback and looks great mixed with authentic denim washes and winter pastels, giving a modern feel to a retro-inspired look. Prints are both bold and dainty - patchwork is introduced and geos and tribal mix well with smaller ditsy prints.

Knitwear will steal the limelight, with twisted yarns and plaited, ribbed and fluffy textures and taking centre stage. A focus on necklines means roll necks, turtle necks and cardigans and a real wardrobe staple.

After London Collections: Men recently I put together my favourite trends, you can view that blog here. So I'm excited that high neckline knits as well as shearling jackets are being adopted by the high-street.

Hat's off to New Look...they have absolutely nailed it.
